Bay City and Bay County Community Information

Hey, there! Welcome to Bay County. We’re located between the thumb and pointer finger of the Mitten, right on the Saginaw Bay. We’ve got around 104,000 great people here, with 14 townships and 4 cities, the largest being Bay City. 

During the spring, summer, and fall, you can catch us boating on the Saginaw Bay or fishing our nationally recognized walleye waters (especially during April and May!). When we stay on land, we’re at Bay City State Park or Pinconning Park, walking through Tobico Marsh, strolling down the riverwalk in Bay City, or playing some golf. 

When we finally sit down, we’re enjoying Bay County-brewed beer and whiskey, some of Michigan’s best pizza, cheeseburgers, and Polish food, Michigan-inspired farm to table, or crawling the pubs of Midland Street or the South End. 

After all of that, we'll be watching a show at the State Theatre, Wenonah Park, or setting up a lawn chair for the Bay City Fireworks Festival.
